Hi, there! Picture it: you or your partner is pregnant and you have a list that feels like a mile long to accomplish before baby/babies arrive. Maybe you have a good friend or sibling that has been pregnant and given birth before. Maybe not! If you don’t, I’m here to swing in with the hot tips if you want that. During your newborn session, I’m happy to show you all of my swaddling and calming secrets that I’ve accumulated over the years. I started my own childcare business when I was just 12 years old and I started by becoming a part of Safe Sitter. As an Indianapolis newborn photographer, that means I have 23+ years of childcare experience. Yikes. NOW I feel old.

My oldest child is almost 15 years old and, even with all of my experience before I gave birth, I still had a lot to learn. I’m 100% here for you as a fellow parent, as well as being your Indianapolis newborn photographer. There’s a lot of information out there about what happens during the birthing process, the birthing parent’s recovery, and- of course deciding if you’ll be pumping, nursing, or bottle feeding. Each of these choices is intensely personal and none of them are easy. They all come with their own set of pros and cons.

Each human’s journey and decisions surrounding whether or not to welcome a child (or more children) into their home is always so unique to each family unit. Sometimes that family unit has existing children in the home, whether you birthed them or not. Sometimes there aren’t. Some family units have grandparents, aunts, uncles, or other extended family members living in the home when baby arrives. Some don’t. Sometimes there are two parents in the home and sometimes there aren’t. However your family unit is organized, I am thrilled and honored to be a part of your story.
